    .040 Aluminum Facts:

  • Available in .040 thickness.

.040 Aluminum is a rigid material that hangs straight and will not rust if chipped or scratched. It is one of our most popular materials and works equally well with any of our sign posts or frames. It comes with a high-gloss, powder-coated finish and is recommended for all seasons. Note that a little extra care is required when handling this material to prevent corner bending. Optionally, .040 Aluminum is available with 3M™ Reflective vinyl coating for greater nighttime visibility.

Aluminum can be endlessly recycled without losing its quality. This makes it one of the most environmentally friendly metals on the planet. Incredibly, most of the aluminum ever produced is still being used today.

 

    .063 Aluminum Facts:

  • Available in .063 thickness.

.063 Aluminum is a rigid material that hangs straight and will not rust if chipped or scratched. It is thicker than our .040 Aluminum, and is therefore less susceptible to corner bending, but still requires a little extra care in handling. It is recommended for use with any of our sign posts or frames. The material comes with a high-gloss, powder-coated finish and is recommended for all seasons. .063 Aluminum is also compatible with 3M™ Reflective vinyl coating for greater nighttime visibility.

  • Rigid material that hangs straight.

  • Comes standard with a glossy matte finish.
  • Available in 3M™ Reflective vinyl.

PVC is the hardest of the plastic materials we offer, so like the metals it hangs very straight. It is recommended for use with any of our sign posts or frames. PVC comes with a gloss matte finish and is recommended for all seasons. PVC is also available with 3M™ Reflective vinyl coating for greater nighttime visibility.

 

    Polyethylene "Poly" Facts:

  • Available in .100 thickness.
  • Popular material that is very durable.
  • Comes standard with a soft matte finish.
  • Good for all seasons.
  • Will "bow" so it is NOT recommended as a hanging sign on posts.
  • Available in 3M™ Reflective vinyl.

Poly or polyethylene is a popular, affordable plastic material which is extremely durable. It has a soft matte finish and performs well in all seasons. Poly material will "bow" so it is not recommended for hanging from posts, but can be used with any of our many sign frames. If you'd like, we can provide poly with our 3M™ Reflective vinyl coating for greater nighttime visibility.

 

    4mm Cor-x Facts:

  • 1/8" thick.
  • Non-yellowing, lightweight, durable, weatherproof, and inexpensive.
  • Primarily used for Directional Signs with wire stakes.
  • Can be used with standard frames.
  • Can be used as a main sign panel when used with a frame, but not recommended for hanging signs from a post.
  • Can be translucent in bright light.
  • Available in 3M™ Reflective vinyl.

4 Mil corrugated plastic or cor-x is non-yellowing, lightweight, durable, weatherproof, and inexpensive, but can be translucent in bright light. There are flutes in the sign’s center, as this material is primarily used for directional signs with wire stakes. The material can be used as a main sign panel when used with a frame, but is not recommended for use as a hanging sign from a post. This material is also available with the 3M™ Reflective vinyl coating for greater nighttime visibility.

 

    8mm Cor-x Facts:

  • 3/8" thick.
  • Non-yellowing, lightweight, durable, weatherproof, and inexpensive.
  • Perfect for hanging signs, commercial signs, and heavy-duty directional signs.
  • The material is great for haning signs from a posts, but due to it's thickness is not recommended for use with frames that have spring clips.
  • Available in 3M™ Reflective vinyl.

8 Mil corrugated plastic or cor- x is non-yellowing, lightweight, weatherproof, very durable, and rigid. This material is twice as thick as the popular 4 mil corrugated plastic, which makes it perfect for hanging signs, commercial signs, and heavy-duty directional signs. This material is also available with 3M™ Reflective vinyl coating for greater nighttime visibility.

 

    Steel Facts:

  • Available in 24 gauge thickness.
  • Rigid material that hangs straight.
  • Recommended for use with posts and frames, and for all seasons.
  • Galvanized under coating, and polyester top coating for rust and corrosion resistance.
  • Rusting WILL occur to any area that is chipped, worn, or scratched.
  • Available in 3M™ Reflective vinyl.

Steel is a rigid material that does not bend or bow. Steel can be used with any sign post, or placed in any frame, and is recommended for all seasons. The material comes with a galvanized under coating, and a polyester top-coat for rust and corrosion resistance. Please note however: Rusting will occur on any area that is chipped, worn, or scratched. This material is available with the 3M™ Reflective vinyl coating for greater nighttime visibility.

 

    Polystyrene "Styrene" Facts:

  • Available in .090 thickness.
  • Economical plastic material with matte finish.
  • Rigid material that hangs straight.
  • Recommended for use with posts and frames, and for all seasons.
  • Material may yellow after 12-18 months.

Styrene or polystyrene is an economical plastic with a nice matte finish that works in all seasons. It is a rigid plastic that hangs straight and can be used with all of our sign posts and frames. Please note the material may yellow after 12 - 18 months. Styrene is the only material which does not have the option of 3M™ Reflective vinyl coating.

  • Must follow "Magnetic Care Guidelines" which come with each order, to avoid car surface scratching.

This vinyl material is .030 thick. Perfect for taking your message on the road. Adheres to steel car doors only (not plastic or abs). Can cause damage to the finish of your car if it is not properly maintained in accordance with our "Magnetic Care Guidelines".
